This kit provides all the parts you need to make a simple,
sturdy platform such as pictured below.
This configuration packs a lot of power into a small package
and because the chassis is constructed from
BuildPlates it's easy to add mounting
holes and brackets.
IGM
To the best of our knowledge, we were the first to sell these fantastic little
gear-motors to the non-industrial market beginning in 2002. Since then many
hobby robotics stores have added them to their product lines with a typical list
price of $20.00. Basically, this is the best gear-motor available in the
hobby market today. It's an industrial-grade part and it's very compact and
efficient.
VMH 01
Our VHM_01 Versatile Mounting Hub fits onto the 3mm D-shaft of
the PJM gear-motor and provides for numerous interfaces. For the purpose of this
set, they are used to mount wheels. You can also use these hubs to mount a wide
variety of 3rd party hobby RC and toy robotics parts.
HMW 01
These case-aluminum wheels are strong, light-weight, and can
can be used in several tread configurations. The spit-tread design
allows for: full tire, half tire/half pulley, or dual pulley operation. They are
also compatible with standard RC car hubs for maximum flexibility of usage.
SM1 02
These screws match the tapped holes in the IGM and are used to
mount it. They're very small and easy to lose so extras are provided.
SM2 01
These very tiny set-screws are used to secure the VMH mounting
hub to the 3mm D-shaft of IGM motor. Twice the number necessary for this kit are
provided.
SM2 04
These 4mm long M2s are provided for festinating
BuildPlates
together. Being as a simple chassis requires only 8, the 50 provided will go a
long way.
NM2 01
You'll want to self-tap the M2
construction screws into the
BuildPlates in most cases but nuts are sometimes
useful. You've got 50 in the kit so 'go nuts'.
VBP 01
This kit includes 10
BuildPlates which you can use for
motor mounts or as your entire chassis.
